Study in India Hub is the guidance publication of Edulab, the education technology company that builds and runs the systems behind many of India's universities. We publish practical, verified guides on admissions, fees, scholarships, student visas, and student life, written for international students, especially those from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Gulf.
The company behind this site
Study in India Hub is operated by Edulab Educational Exchange Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2011 and based in Mumbai. Edulab describes itself as "the technology behind India's universities," and the description fits: its platforms run university ERP, international admissions, AI document verification, online examinations, and student services for institutions across the country.
Over 15 years, Edulab's systems have connected more than 1,950 colleges, served over a million students, reached applicants in 68+ countries, and supported 25,000+ exchange alumni through its internationalization programs. Edulab works with institutions including the University of Mumbai, Savitribai Phule Pune University, SNDT Women's University, HSNC University, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, and the Government of Maharashtra's CET Cell, and it is engaged with international education networks including NAFSA and the WYSE Travel Confederation.
Edulab operates the University of Mumbai International Admission Desk (mu.admissiondesk.org). Because we help run the admissions machinery itself, our guidance starts from the source, not from second-hand research: real applications, real fee structures, real timelines, and real students enrolled in India now.
Meet Pratik Gandhi
Pratik Gandhi is the Founder and CEO of Edulab and the primary author behind Study in India Hub. He has led the company since 2011, building the systems Indian universities use to admit and support international students, alongside co-founder Kumarpal Shah and CTO Francis Pinto. When Pratik writes about how admissions, fees, or visas work, it comes from running those processes every day.
Students Pratik and the Edulab team have guided include Bivek Joshi (finance, University of Mumbai, now working in Nepal) and Garima Acharya (engineering, University of Mumbai, now working in Nepal), both of whom completed their degrees without an education loan. We name students only with their explicit consent.
Who we help
- Nepali students: admissions to Indian universities, fees in NPR, scholarships, and the passport and documentation students actually need under the India, Nepal arrangement.
- Sri Lankan students: MBBS, engineering, and business admissions, NEET where it applies, recognition back home, and the student visa process.
- Gulf students (UAE, Kuwait): engineering and MBA pathways, fees in AED, and admission from the Middle East.
What makes our guidance different
- We build the systems. Edulab runs the admissions and ERP technology used by Indian universities, including the University of Mumbai International Admission Desk, so our information starts at the source, not from guesswork.
